How long should mass building workout sessions be?

how long should i workout in order to gain muscle mass?
i Usually workout for 1.5 - 2 hrs?
Is that too much?

yes. it’s too much. most trainer do not recommen to do weight lifting more than 1 hours.
and since you are 17, you still in your growing periode. so lift to much weight won’t make you taller anymore.
