How and when should i use muscle milk?

I am trying to gain weight and muscle but i am not sure when to use muscle milk. Do i use it everyday or just on workout days, and what time of the day should i take(post, pre workout, night). I am also trying to bulk up so what kind of lifting should i do?

    On workout days: 30 minutes before working out, and within 30 minutes after working out

    On non-workout days - whenever you want. 2 times, if you are trying to gain weight.

    If you are having a hard time gaining weight, you could drink a third shake on both days.
