bodybuilding question! should i lose weight first or just start diet and build muscle?

i am 5′10 190 pounds, i want to get really strong and cut, should i lose some weight first so i will be more defined and then build muscle or go right to it with good diet, weightlifting and some cardio?? and i am trying to get big

You can build muscle and lose fat at the same time on a program like Body For Life. It’s a great starting place. Good luck!

I’d start by gaining some muscle first and then look at losing body fat. This will ensure you will maintain your muscle mass better when losing body fat as well as helping to burn more calories. HTH : )
